This is a common recipe for healthy radiant skin. Other than smoothing out wrinkles, milk can also be used to lighten unwanted body hair making it less noticeable.

Brazilian Golden Shower to Bleach Leg Hair

I first learnt about the Brazilian golden shower through Jessica Simpson’s The Price of Beauty. Brazilian women do not shave unwanted body hair but rather bleach it to a golden color that is less noticeable. A yellow/gold cream is applied to the area of the body that you want to bleach hair while you sit in the sun- this is because the cream is activated by the sun. You will find most Brazilian women with this bleach cream at the beach.

Sit in the sun for about half an hour and then wash off by jumping into the ocean or pool. The cream also stings a little. Once you start to feel the sting then you know it is time to jump into the pool. This will make your hair less noticeable with golden highlights in the sun. The golden hairs give a god contrast with dark or tanned skin.

It is important to always have in mind that leg hair bleaching will not work the same for everyone. Some of these methods may have to be used several times to get the desired results.

  • So I have been searching for this for a long time! I really don't want to shave because I'm only 12, but I'm very insecure of my leg hair. I have really dark leg hair and its very thick. But the lemon and sugar really worked!! The lemon lightened it so its a really pale colour. And the sugar made it less noticeable because it cut the hair so it's really short (not stubble). Also the sugar made the hair really soft. Thank you!!

  • Hello, Am glad that you found this article helpful. Yes, it is very safe to mix honey and lemon to naturally bleach leg hair. As described above, honey helps to reduce the harsh and drying effects of lemon by moisturizing and softening the hairs. Honey can also be used to make a tightening mask which pulls unwanted hair making it less noticeable.

  • I tried the honey and lemon ritual and it didn't make a difference but it did give me a huge rash all over my legs

  • if i put lemon and sugar in my legs and if the sugar makes my hair weak,it will grow back longer and thicker or not?

  • I think this is a great idea, actually going to try it now hehe ummm does someone know how long does it take for the hair to get lighter?

    • Yes. You can use limes or lemons in the same capacity to bleach leg hair at home. Be sure to use sour limes since they contain citric acid unlike sweet limes. Please let us know how that works for you.

  • When you do the lemon and sugar does the hairs come back again and if so are they thicker and longer or not?

  • I didn't know how much of each ingredeant to put in so I gussed !? Will that effect it in any way? One more question, this is my first day trying it, when will the hair start to lighten?

  • Hi Anja thanks for your comment i am the same age as you well just
to know how many days did it take to lighten the hair

  • i mixed hydrogen peroxide with lotion (50/50 mixture) and apply it every morning then wash it off at the end of the day it works pretty well for me

  • Shaving hair doesn't make it grow faster ir thicker or darker. The same is true for cutting hair. The hair bulb is inside your skin and is not affected by shaving.

    • Bleaching leg hair naturally is a little slow. The time it takes to notice results depends on how coarse your hair is. It also depends on your natural hair color. People with light colored body hair may notice results faster than those with darker body hair. The most important thing is to keep at it. With most of these home remedies, you have to be consistent. Make leg hair bleaching part of your regular beauty routines.
