Use Rice Water to Slow Aging

Highly fortified with powerful antioxidants, rice water is able to destroy the free radicals in the environment created by UV rays and cigarette smoke that usually affects the skin. The free radicals cause cell and tissue damage which leads to premature skin aging characterized by fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin.

The source of these antioxidants especially in brown and red rice water comes from the manganese and zinc present. They promote cell regeneration and tissue repair thus tighten the skin muscles and eliminates wrinkles.

Fermented rice water contains pitera a bacteria that is produced during the fermentation process which promotes regeneration of cells keeping the skin young and vibrant.

The lack of Vitamin K in the body has been known to cause wrinkles around the mouth area. Rice water contains this vital vitamin that helps skin to stay vibrant by increasing skin elasticity.

Contains choline which stimulates the production of acetylcholine a neurotransmitter that stimulates the cells to produce more collagen and elastin that slows down aging.  It also adds lipids to the cells making them healthier and acts as an antioxidant against the free radicals that damage the skin.

Anti-Oxidants

Ferulic acid also present in white rice water contains high antioxidant properties which stimulate the collagen and elastin production thus tighten the skin muscles leading to a firm, soft skin. It also assists in blood sugar control thus reduce the effects of diabetes.

Rice water also contains phenolic acid a phytonutrient that has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antihistamine and anti-mutagenic properties. Its anti-mutagenic properties help to prevent the mutation of free radicals produced by cigarette smoke and UV rays that cause further damage to the skin.

Rich in flavonoid compound a phytonutrient, rice water has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which protect the skin from UV ray damage. It also boosts the blood vessels and capillaries to supply the nutrients with nutrients that aid in faster cell regeneration.

Rice water contains allantoin which is an antioxidant, moisturizer, exfoliator, and anti –irritant and protects the skin from damage and allows for cell regeneration.

Protects the Skin from Infections

Rice water is rich in vitamin E which is a great antioxidant that works to prevent cell damage and protects the lipid-filled tissues of the cells which are important for a healthy skin.

Promotes Bone Health

Bones are important as they help to hold the skin in place. A broken bone loosens the skin muscles on the particular area or if swollen, the inflammation is experienced on the outer surface of the skin.

Rice water is a rich source of magnesium and calcium which promote healthy bone thus preventing diseases that can cause skin inflammation.

Sunscreen

When applied on the skin surface, rice water protects the skin from UV damage as it highly contains Ferulic, allantoin and para-amino benzoic acid.

Prevent Skin Sagging

Skin muscles loosen with age and also due to free radicals in the environment. When loose, the skin cells lack enough oxygen and blood to regenerate resulting in sagged skin.

Rice water especially from brown and red rice contains vitamin B1 also known as thiamine which is responsible for ensuring proper functioning of the muscles and heart that boosts the cells.

The presence of vitamin B2 in rice water also helps to boost the production of healthy cells that provide the skin with protection from inflammation and dryness.

Stress Reliever

Stress is one of the major causes of skin related problems.  It releases the cortisol hormone which aids in the release of oxidants which affects collagen, elastin and tissues production resulting to cell death and many skin issues.

Rice water contains vitamin B6 which promotes the production of serotonin associated with good mood. It also stimulates the red blood cells to supply the much-needed nutrients to new skin cells.

Prevents and Heals Wounds

Skin inflammation can result in scratches, bruises and lesions on the skin which when left untreated can cause serious infections to the skin and body.

Rice water when applied on the skin contains selenium which helps to heal the skin from infections and zinc which speeds up the healing process and boosts the body’s defense system.

Vitamin K present in rice water helps to reduce any swellings and prevents the skin from easy bruising.

Tightens Pores

Due to environmental factors, diet, cosmetics, lifestyle and stress, the skin pores might appear larger than usual attracting a lot of bacteria and impurities to the skin. Though pores don’t enlarge, it’s the tissues and muscles that loose elasticity and creates a large surface area.

Rice water contains a natural astringent that allows for cell rejuvenation of the fibroblasts surrounding the skin. This eventually tightens the areas around the pores and minimize the pores surface area reducing chances of blockage and clogging.

Rice Water for Skin Moisturising

Age, dehydration and health issues contribute to the fast loss of moisture from the skin which leaves dry, flaky skin.

Rice water absorbs the excess oils and opens up the areas around the pores thus clearing acne.

It contains high levels of anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce the redness around the skin.

Contains nicotinamide a derivative of vitamin B3 which lightens the skin

Rice water contains Vitamin K which fights skin discoloration as it penetrates through the pores and heals the damaged areas that may cause discoloration.

Increase Blood Circulation

When the tissues lack oxygen they are unable to supply nutrients to the skin cells in the body and it appears dull and lifeless leading to premature aging.

Rice water contains vitamin K which increases blood circulation and pushes enough oxygen and blood to the cells rejuvenating them.
