A different variety of face packs for winter dry, oily skin and other needs such as fairness. During the winter your face will need extra attention.  Some parts have less humidity. Due to this, your face will feel springy and dry. If not taken good care, your face may develop cracks, become uneven and dry. This will make your skin dry and unattractive.

Consumption of healthy food will not make you an exemption to these skin effects during the winter. Using winter skin care products will have a little impact as they only help external skin layer.  Parlor visits, on the other hand, might be expensive, time-consuming and tiresome.

Homemade face packs have proven to be effective and of significance during the winter. They are prepared using day to day kitchen ingredients. Unlike other ways of taking care of skin the face packs are cheaper, easy to prepare, time saving and free of chemicals. The face packs will provide sufficient moisture so that the skin is not dry.  The packs have vitamin E which makes the skin healthier and beautiful.

The following are homemade face packs for a healthy and beautiful skin during the winter.

Turmeric Face Pack

  1. You will require a piece of cotton, turmeric powder and a tablespoon of milk.
  2. Mix a pinch of turmeric with the milk to prepare a paste. Using a piece of cotton apply it on your face.
  3. Rinse the paste after a period of 10 to 15 minutes’
  4. For better results repeat this in after two days.

Sour cream

  1. You will need gram flour and sour cream.
  2. Prepare a paste by mixing 1 tablespoon of sour cream with one and a half tablespoon of gram flour.
  3. Apply it on your face and wait for approximately 15 minutes.
  4. Wash the paste off with lukewarm water.

Yogurt and rose water

Requirements:

  • 2 tablespoons of rose water,
  • 1 tablespoon of yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of honey and
  • A small bowl of rose petals

Mix all the ingredients to make a paste and apply it on your face

Wash off the paste with warm water after 10 minutes.

Avocado and Honey

Ingredients required

  • 1 teaspoon of rose water
  • 2 teaspoons of mashed avocado
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

Procedure

  1. Add rose water and honey to the mashed avocado
  2. Mix them and apply on your face
  3. Wash it off your face after 15 minutes

Avocado is rich in fats with great moisturizing impact on your skin. This makes it better to use in making remedies for dry skins.

Cocoa Face Mask

Ingredients Required

  • Honey
  • Oatmeal
  • Coconut milk
  • Cocoa powder

Procedure

  1. Prepare a mixture of half tablespoon cocoa powder, 2 tablespoon coconut milk, 1 table spoon oatmeal and half tablespoon honey.
  2. Apply the mixture on your face and wash off after 10 minutes.
  3. Apply this face pack at least once a week.

Egg York and olive oil

Ingredients required

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Egg Yolk

Blend the egg yolk, olive oil, and honey. Apply the mixture on your face. Wash off the mixture after 10 to minutes.

The egg yolk has fats that will nourish and hydrate your dry skin.

Oat almond

  Ingredients required

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons oats
  • 6 pieces of almond
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt

Procedure

  1. Grind the almond and oat to make a powder.
  2. Mix with the powder with some water to make a paste.
  3. Add honey and yogurt to the paste and mix it thoroughly.
  4. Apply the mixture on your face and wash after 15 minutes.

Watermelon

You will require two teaspoons of honey and a tablespoon of watermelon juice

  1. Extract juice from a fresh watermelon and add honey. Mix the two and apply on your face.
  2. Wash it off after 20 to 30 minutes.
  3. The application of this face pack will depend on your skin response. It is advisable to use it three times in a week.

Watermelon has a high content of water making favorable for dry skins. It also repairs damaged skin. Honey, on the other hand, will lock moisture provided by the melon.

Milk face pack

The perfect milk to use is raw one from cows. Alternatively,  you can use dairy packed milk.

Ingredients required

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons oil essential
  • 1 tablespoon of soaked almond paste
  • 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera gel

How to Use

  1. Mix the ingredients with and add a tablespoon of raw cow milk.
  2. Apply the mixture on your face and wait for it to dry.
  3. Wash it off after 20 minutes.

Orange Juice

Requirements

  • One to one and a half tablespoons of oatmeal
  • 2-3 tablespoons of orange juice
  1. Prepare a mixture of the two and apply on your face.
  2. Wash it off your face after 20 minutes.

Orange juice has a substance that balances the skin pH and works as a skin cleanser.  The orange juice face pack helps to restore skin oil production and repairs it. It is rich in vitamin C responsible for healing wrinkles on the face. Oatmeal will moisturize the skin and acts as the face pack hydrant.

Strawberry fruit

Strawberry has vitamin C which helps in moisturizing and softening the skin. It tightens up, reduces wrinkles and brightens complexion of the skin.

Ingredients required  

  • Water
  • 1 tablespoon oatmeal
  • 4 ripe strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Procedure

  1. Crush the strawberries. Add oatmeal, honey, and water to make a paste.
  2. Apply the paste on your face.
  3. Allow the paste to sit and wash after 20 minutes.
  4. Repeat this process at least two times in a week.

Rice flour

 Requirements

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon oatmeal
  • 2 teaspoons rice flour

Procedure

  • Make a paste using the ingredients and apply on your face.
  • Wash it off after 20 minutes.
  • Depending on your skin reactions apply one or two times in a week.
  • Rice flour will get rid of flakiness by removing the dead skin cells.

Onion face pack

Ingredients required

  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Two onion balls

Squeeze out juice from the onions.

  1. Take two spoons of the juice and add honey to prepare a mixture.
  2. Apply it on your face and wash after 15 minutes.
  3. Do this at least once a week.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, healing and antioxidant properties. It will revive and hydrate your skin.  This pack helps your skin become radiant and glow.

Ingredients you will require

  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel (fresh)

Procedure

  1. Prepare a mixture of the two and apply on your face.
  2. Wash it off with warm water after 15 minutes.
  3. Apply this face pack at least twice a week.

Coconut oil with banana

You will require

  • A banana
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  1. Smash the banana and mix with the coconut oil.
  2. Apply the mixture on your face and wash after 20 minutes.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba is one of many natural oils known.

You will require

  • 1 teaspoon of jojoba oil
  • 5 tablespoons of water
  • A piece of cloth

Mix the two and use the piece of cloth to apply the solution on your face.

Wash it off after 5 to 10 minutes.

Green tea remedy

Green tea has many health benefits among them is that it can be used as a face pack. Drinking it regularly makes your skin fresh and free of wrinkles.

You can also apply lukewarm green tea on your face.

Coco mask

Ingredients required

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon besan

Mix all the ingredients to form a paste and apply it on your face.

Wash the paste off after 5 minutes.

Honey and Rose water

Mix 1 tablespoon of rose water and 1 of honey. Apply the mixture on your face and wash it after 10 minutes.

Banana and butter mask

You will require a fresh banana and butter. Mash the banana and add the same amount of butter to prepare a paste. Apply the paste over your face and washed it after a short while.

The banana will keep moisture from the butter in the skin.

Curd and honey

You will need 4 of curd and 2 tablespoons of honey. Mix the two prepare a paste and apply on the face. Wash off the paste after 15 minutes.

Shea butter facial mask

Ingredients required

  • 1 tablespoon of Shea butter
  • A tablespoon Coconut oil
  • One tablespoon aloe vera gel
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar

Mix the ingredients and apply the resulting paste on your face.

Wash it off after 20 minutes.

Yeast Mask

Many people are familiar with yeast being used in the fermentation of food stuff. But did you know that yeast can be used to reduce your skin dryness?

In this case it advisable to use brewer’s yeast. It is rich in vitamin B, protein, and Chromium. Yeast will help your skin get adequate energy, as a result, it can solve a variety of skin complications.

Your skin is normally exposed to coldness during the winter. The yeast will deal with the dryness during winter.

  1. Mix 1 tablespoon of yeast with one of milk and apply on your face.
  2. Wash it off after 20 minutes.

There is a wide range of combinations and ingredients that you may use to prepare face packs. Before applying on the face conduct a test on your palm. If the combination is reactive consider another one.
